Why we built Kubalix

Buying HVAC products is confusing and expensive. BTUs, SEER2 ratings, MERV numbers, single-zone vs. multi-zone, DIY vs. pro install — it's a lot of jargon standing between you and a comfortable home. Most "best of" lists online are thin, hyped, and clearly written by people who've never touched the products.

Kubalix exists to fix that. We research heating, cooling, and air quality products in depth, explain them in plain English, and give you honest recommendations — including the downsides. Our goal is simple: help you buy the right product once, instead of the wrong one twice.

How we make recommendations

• Specs first. We compare efficiency ratings, capacity, noise levels, warranties, and real owner feedback — not marketing copy.
• Pros and cons, always. No product is perfect. We tell you who each one is right for, and who should skip it.
• Built for homeowners. Whether you're a confident DIYer or a first-time buyer, we keep the guidance practical and jargon-free.
